The humanitarian medical organisation Developing Medicine is currently constituted as a company limited by guarantee in the United Kingdom (Company number 16079693). We adopted Company House’s Model Articles of Association at the time of incorporation and undertake to comply with all aspects of UK Company law.
However, in March 2026, our directors unanimously resolved to seek registration as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Application No: 5287267). At the same time, our directors endorsed a new Foundation Constitution, which we have submitted for the approval of the Charity Commission.
We have also published a Public Benefit Statement. Our other governing documents are as follows:
Developing Medicine also adheres to the Professional Standards for Doctors and Good Medical Practice guidelines published by the General Medical Council (United Kingdom). This means that we will not promote or sell products or treatments. We will additionally have no actual or ostensible affiliation with any pharmaceutical or medical device company.
