Our digital medical resources are arranged alphabetically by language on our homepage. So far, we have made these resources in 18 languages and they have been accessed by millions of people in more than 50 developing countries. We plan to include other languages in the near future.
The digital medical resources are based upon a script that we write using information from publicly available National Health Service (NHS UK) and World Health Organisation (WHO) sources. You can find the scripts for each video, together with the source references, in the links below.
The general script is then translated and adapted by our fully-qualified local doctors. In this way, we seek to produce accurate digital medical resources that are relevant and appropriate for the communities that they are intended to reach. We also produce instructional videos that explain in local languages how to use medical devices.
All our digital medical resources must comply with our Guidelines and Process for Producing Digital Medical Resources. In addition, we attest to the Health Information Sharing Principles set out by the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS), the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) and the WHO, which were published in Identifying Credible Sources of Health Information in Social Media: Principles and Attributes.
We also adhere to the Professional Standards for Doctors and Good Medical Practice Guidelines published by the General Medical Council (UK). This means that we will not promote or sell products or treatments. We will also have no ostensible or actual affiliation with any pharmaceutical or medical device company.
